The privacy notice, kept short.
How Artifexa handles enquiry details, optional Google Analytics, business records and your privacy rights.
Notice 01
Privacy notice
In plain English: enquiry details are used to reply; Google Analytics runs only if you accept. You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data.
Information you send
When you use the enquiry form or email Artifexa, the information you provide may include your name, email address, company, website, project requirements, selected package, preferred timing and any message you send.
Insights and retained subscriber records
Public Insights updates are available through the RSS feed. The site does not currently offer a public email signup or promise article publication emails.
Artifexa retains records from email opt-in requests: the email address, the page the request came from where recorded, a unique confirmation or unsubscribe code, and dated records of requests, confirmations and removals. These are separate from enquiry records.
An opt-in request is not a confirmed subscription. The retained confirmation process asks the recipient to confirm before the address is marked as subscribed. Confirmation records document consent; they do not establish that article updates are being sent.
An unsubscribe link in an email opens a confirmation page. The address is marked as removed when the removal is confirmed, rather than merely when the link is opened. A supported mail-app unsubscribe action may submit the removal directly. You can also email hello@artifexa.co.uk to ask to leave or make a privacy request.
The dated subscriber record is retained to record the request, consent status and removal. Leaving the list marks the address as removed; it does not erase the historical record automatically.
How it is used
This information is used to respond to your enquiry, prepare a sensible recommendation or proposal, keep basic business records and protect the website from spam or misuse.
The lawful basis is usually taking steps before entering a contract, legitimate interests in responding to business enquiries, and legal obligations where records must be kept.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is optional. It loads only after you choose Accept analytics in the banner. It uses analytics cookies and sends page-view and visit measurement data to Google so Artifexa can understand how the website is used.
If you reject analytics, the Google tag is not loaded. Google Analytics is not used for advertising; advertising storage and personalisation remain denied. You can change your choice at any time from Cookies and storage.
Analytics choice
Your choice to accept or reject Google Analytics is stored in local storage on this device so the site remembers it. It is not sent to Artifexa.
If you reject after previously accepting, the site stops loading Google Analytics and removes its first-party analytics cookies where the browser allows it.
Retention and rights
Enquiry data is kept only for as long as needed for the enquiry, project relationship, business records or legal requirements.
You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, or object to certain processing. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office if you are unhappy with how your data is handled.
